Giant Bomb Community Spotlight: PAX East, Layoffs, And Video Issues Fixed?
Having trouble with the official Giant Bomb mobile app or website? Have you noticed the video player acting up on the site? If you have, then you are not alone. If you've been having these issues, it is advised to chime in to help fix them. Fortunately, the issue with non-premium videos being tagged as premium has been fixed. As for the video player, some people are saying the site video player is better and previous issues are gone. If that's not the case for you, you can chime in over here.
In other news, TurboShawn is investigating the issue of people not being able to listen to podcasts via podcast apps. They found that last week's issue seemed to be Pocket Casts-specific, while the issues this week with the VMDT and GMM RSS feeds seem to be with the RSS feeds specifically. For now, it is recommended to try downloading directly from the site, and TurboShawn will try to have the feed issues fixed as soon as possible.
It was also reported that Grubb made a writing contribution to XboxEra's 20 year retrospective on the Xbox platform and the ups and downs of Microsoft's console gaming efforts. Giant Bomb fans will also be happy to know that the staff will be at PAX East with numerous appearances!
